It took me a couple of weeks to draw.  I decided to pick this because my teacher suggested it and it reminded me of Donkey Kong from Nintendo!

I drew this picture because I like Stevie Wonder's music and songs. Two of my favorite songs are You are the sunshine of my life and Part time lover.

Dennis The Menace at 60!

Dennis the Menace at 60! - Oil Pastels (2012)

Philadelphia City Councilman Dennis O'Brien has been a friend of mine since I was little. When we first met I gave him the nickname "Dennis the Menace." Last year, the Councilman's sister asked me to make him a custom birthday card of Dennis then Menace at age 60! Councilman O'Brien liked it so much that I decided to do a 9" x 12" on canvass for him to put up in his new office. I am proud to say that my piece, along with a picture of young Dennis the Menace by my friend, John Paul Gomez, now hangs in the Councilman's office in City Hall.

Learning to Make Mosaics!

I took a trip to Philadelphia's Magic Gardens a few weeks ago. If you've never been there you should check it out!  www.philadelphiasmagicgardens.org I was inspired after my visit and I am learning to make mosaics! This is my first ever mosaic piece done on a clay flower pot.

Baby Ganesh

I painted this Baby Ganesh, which was inspired by an illustration from "The Little Book of Hindu Deities" by Sanjay Patel, as a gift for a new baby. I just came across the photo recently and wanted to share it. It was the first time I ever painted Ganesh, but certainly not the last!
